Piping system for hydroelectric power plants
KAMI has delivered the piping system for a Norwegian hydropower plant
Our engineering department and black steel manufacturing site collaborated on this project. A successful project that we were awarded by the customer – because we could manage the entire undertaking!
We have delivered everything from the specification to the engineering part including the production basis – and finally the production of the complete steel structure in the form of the pipe system for the Norwegian hydropower plant.
The function of the piping system is that water from a dam is passed through the system, extracting even more energy than conventional systems.
Construction
- KAMI’s engineering and production departments worked with the customer to create the final requirement specification.
- Technical advice on manufacturing methods, assembly and coating systems
- Preparation of the production basis
- Preparation of the Declaration of Conformity
- Preparation of all necessary quality documentation.
Production
- KAMI’s production section for black steel manufacturing has completed the project.
- Processes include cutting, rolling, CNC machining and welding.
- The steel contract has been verified by a third party and NDT has been performed.
- The delivery comes with MRB (Manufacturing Record Book) and includes all material certificates, welding certificates and NDT reports.
Delivery
- The project was delivered in Norway, where the customer took care of the installation of the piping system at the hydroelectric power plant.
- Everything worked out and KAMI received high praise for a successful project – completed on time!
