Company structure and history
KAMI Group
Consists of the operating company KAMI DK ApS and our engineering company – COTECH ApS.
In Seattle, USA, we have our own company, KAMI TECH Inc. who work primarily in stainless steel – and mainly in the marine sector.
KAMI and COTECH
Employs a total of around 50 employees – 30 in Denmark and 20 in Seattle, USA.
KAMI has approx. 2,000 m2 of administration and production facilities in Denmark divided into black and stainless, and we also have 1,500 m2 of production facilities in Seattle, USA.
KAMI and COTECH deliver everything from small independent tasks to large projects – in collaboration or separately.
KAMI – History
1984
KAMI STEEL is founded by Kaj Milling Hansen in Faaborg, Funen
1999
KAMI STEEL is taken over by a 4-man investor group
2001
KAMI JERN is established in Faaborg
2005
KAMI STEEL US Inc. established in Seattle, USA – Today the company is called KAMI TECH Inc.
KAMI becomes co-owner of engineering company COTECH
2009
KAMI acquires COTECH
2013
KAMI and COTECH become DS/EN ISO 9001:2008 certified
2014
KAMI STEEL becomes EN ISO 3834-2 certified
KAMI STEEL becomes EN 1090-1 and EN 1090-3 certified for Execution Class 3
COTECH becomes EN 1090-2 certified for Execution Class 3
2016
KAMI and COTECH are updated to the ISO 9001:2015 standard
2021
KAMI DK ApS is created when KAMI STÅL and KAMI JERN are merged into one operating company
COTECH is maintained as an independent company under KAMI’s ownership
KAMI and COTECH bring all facilities together at a single address
2023
KAMI takes over DVI agreement after Faaborg Jern. In this connection, a warehouse is established and KAMI begins to deliver various maritime equipment via its own warehouse and via an international network
