Aluminum walkway
12 meter aluminum walkway for maritime use
In collaboration, KAMI’s engineering and production departments have carried out this project. The customer came up with the specification, which was that the platform had to have a 12-meter extension and be FEM-calculated. Based on the customer’s proposal, KAMI carried out the design work and FEM calculations, and the engineering department prepared the complete production basis. The platform is subsequently made of seawater-resistant aluminum EN AW-5754.
The platform is fixed at one end and must be able to move at the other end, as that part is attached to a wave compensation system. The entire platform acts as a heave compensated gangway. See examples of a heave compensated gangway at www.google.dk.

Production
- KAMI’s production department delivered the aluminum construction.
- Manufacturing processes include cutting/bending, machining and welding.

- Surface treatment – anodizing / anodizing.
