KAMI’s engineering and production departments have jointly developed and implemented this project. We have been involved from the idea stage and have created a prototype based on the customer’s instructions before a final proposal\/basis has been created. KAMI was responsible for the design, preparation of the production basis and FEM calculations. The steel is produced in our black steel and high-strength steel department.<\/p>\n
The equipment is used to survey the seabed prior to the construction of offshore wind farms, for example. The complete unit is lowered via a moon pool on a ship to the seabed, and the ship receives information about the subsurface via the equipment.
